The mark is a lamp of knowledge just above the word 'Brons'

Looks to be russian given the eagle and the crown. I dont recognize the lamp mark though. Fred what do you think?

It is Polish

Made before the war when the crown was still used as our seal

But many thing made here look old and are new

Smile Thanks for the help guys...I was really hoping that lamp mark would be identifiable.

Here is what one of my flickr contacts said about the opener:

"How very odd. That's the symbol for Scania. Scania, or Skåne, is the county in Sweden where I live. wikipedia-Scania

I suspect the flikr contact is correct. That would explain the spelling of Bronze as BRONS.
