Hi.. I have a small brass basket with a bail handle. about 2"h x 2"w x 1.3"d. It has a stamped mark on the bottom. The mark is what looks like a candlestick with a G to the left, S to right and H under.

Will try to post photo..

Welome to the forum Roger. The mark is not one I am familiar with. I have a gut feeling it is European. Could you post an image of the basket? The style of the piece may help us with the origin of the maker.
