I thought it might be interesting to use this post to discuss quality items in metalwork of the Movement.
I will try to post images as I can of items I have and get permission to post images of what I see. Currently there is a bud vase on eBay that is a stunning example of the work of Fred T. Brosi of San Francisco. He and Hans W Jauchen formed "Ye Olde Copper Shop" during the early part of the last century. They often used eucalyptus decoration in their work. Their advertising literature says they collected seed pods from the trees in the park and then would cast them in bronze and use them and bronze cast leaves in their work. The ebay budvase is a great example of this work. Fred (Moderator) http://fredz49.blogspot.com/ |
