Hello members and guests. Please be sure to read the objective and goals of this forum. The forum was created to provide a place to discuss and read about the Arts & Crafts Movement. A period ranging from the late quarter of the 19th Century to the First Quarter of the 20th.
The crafts men and women of this period influenced a great many of the craftsmen of today through their designs and through the institutions that were formed during that period for the teaching of Handrafts and Art. Please respect the objectives of the website and do not use this site to advertize your products or website unless it pertains to the Arts & Crafts Movement period. Posts that do not meet the guidelines of the forum will be deleted. We all appreciate everyone's cooperation in this matter and hope to create an environment where we can all share our mutual passion for the Movement and the fruit it bore. Sincerely, Fred Fred (Moderator) http://fredz49.blogspot.com/ |

Fred,
Nice intro - I've taken the liberty of copying it (with slight mods) as a general intro on the Forum main page. Perhaps if we say it often enough, more people will catch on... One modification I made to the main intro that I'd like to reiterate here is that the Forum is generally *not* the place for advertisements, even if A&C related. The Marketplace is the right place for commercial references. That said, if someone knows of a resource that is not in the Marketplace and directly responds to someone's inquiry here, posting that information is certainly appropriate. I know I've learned about some great resources that way. -- Carol |

Carol,
I was flattered to see my words at the main page to the forum and I think if we reiterate the goal and thrust of the forum we may get more imput that we all can use. Fred Fred (Moderator) http://fredz49.blogspot.com/ |

Good Afternoon Carol and Fred,
I could not agree with you more as we want to keep this forum for what it is intended. Great format Fred and I am happy that Carol found it appropriate enough to be part of the main page. Respectfully, Ralph Jones http://hometown.aol.com/ralj7/index.htm |
