Hi all,

I have been coming across antique jewelry pieces, mostly sterling, that bear the maker's mark of "JA & S" and was wondering if anybody here knows who the silversmith was. Some of it is quite striking arts & crafts, bordering on nouveau, and the specific pieces that catch my attention bear the Birmingham hallmark and date to ca 1908 - 1914.

The enameled pieces are very reminiscent of Charles Horner and James Fenton.

Thank you for any help.

I'm thinking it's probably "JA" & Son or Sons... Anyone?

I just found this on eBay:

Birmingham maker John Atkins & Sons C. 1918 were noted for large brightly enameled butterfly pins as well as bar pins and figural jewelry.

Try Josiah Adams & Sons Birmingham. I picked up some cufflinks today with the same details. Do you know any good cufflink sites?
