I bought a big, white enamelware pot (large!) with lovely "Glasgow roses" around it in blue. (I can give a photo if necessary.) The woman who sold it to me bought it in Paris several years ago, so we both assume it is French. It has a few small dings to the enamel but nothing that detracts from the lovely A&C decoration. I've never seen another one like it. Does anyone know anything about A&C-designed enamelware??

Sounds interesting, please post a pic, never really heard of enamelware being considered A&C

I too have never heard of A/C enamel ware. I suspect it is European. There were several items made during the early years of the 20th century and many designs stayed with us into the later years. The Glasgow Rose seems to have stuck around for several years.

Here's the first photo of the pot. It's the design that's A&C, as you can readily see...

Second one...

I suspect this was made in France or Germany, but that's jmo. The lady I bought it from said she purchased it at a flea market in Paris ten or twenty years ago for $100.

I see what you mean - nice. It could be English as well, because there are lots of French pieces in England and vice-versa. The metalwork industry was pretty big in England back around the turn of the century and there was lots of trade across the channel.
