Hello, I am new to this site but have been reading the forum for a little while now. I just found a Roycroft low bowl at a local antique shop in my town and was able to pick it up for just $20. The problem is that someone decided to polish it and it doesn't look very good all shiny. So my question is do I use something to artificially give it a patina or do I let time do the work for me.

P.S. I love this site.

Welcome to the site BStein,

Could you possibly post an image of the bowl. We thrive on images and it would help in deciding what you might want to do to retore the patina.

Best,

Fred
