I bought this awhile back on ebay. I'm not really sure what it is for. At first I thought it was an ice bucket, but it seams much too large for that. It measures 13.5" high by 10.5" wide (14.25" including handles). The only marking on the bottom appears to be the number 9 followed by a period. Any thougts?

I don't know who made it, but I would guess it's European. I would think humidor, but like you said, it is pretty large. Nice piece.

I agree with Frank that it is European and my guess would be Austrian. Very well designed and made. No idea as to who made it.

Best,
