It appears to be hand wrought or hammered and is stamped on the bottom MAV 1948. It has 4 brass feet and I cant seem to find any info on this hallmark.

A picture is worth a thousand words so if you could post one we might be able to help you identify it, when I say "we" I mean them, since I can't remember the last time I helped anyone identify anything! Either way "we" would like to see it if for no other reason than to edify the arts and crafts metalware people.

Your bowl is probably has cast brass roccoco style legs. I have no information on the maker. The dates are post Arts & Crafts Movement period and the style is not Modernist.
