12" version of the Roycroft classic, this one was a lamp base at one point and has a repair to the side where the cord came thru and on the bottom as well which destroyed the cross and orb mark. But for what I paid for it, a small sacrifice because I would not be able to find it anywhere else.

Dano,

Was this the one on eBay? I agree that it is a great shape and it is wonderful to have one. I wish I had one as well.

Best,

Hi Fred, no I found this in a small shop on Lake Ave. in Pasadena next door to Voorhees Craftsman Shop. Because of the repairs I suspect thats why I was able to get it for a reasonable price (less than $700) which took some negotiating and soul searching on my part. To that date it was the most I had paid for a single item, at least for something that my wife says is "used". Some people just dont get it do they?

Dano

BTW there was another shop not far from there that had the 24" AB vase as well as an "Ali Baba" vase with a verdigris finish. Those were priced pretty much where you might expect them, I think the AB 24 was $2k and the Ali Baba was $1750. Not bad if you have the money.
