I'm looking for some help identifying the maker of this sterling egg cup. It's hand-hammered, with a scene of mountains and a house and several Viking ships, monogramed on the front. On the bottom, which I was unable to photograph, is stamped 905C (I believe) and the stamped initials GAM. The legs of the A extend downward and curl upwards beneath the G and the M flanking it. I've scoured the internet and all of the Craftsman auction catalogues and have come up empty. Anyone know who this silversmith was/is? Thanks, Canmoron

I an not familiar with the mark on your cup. You do not mention metal quality mark. That might give us a clue as to origin of manufacture. Is it possible that 905C is 925C? That could indicate it was sterling. The style does not look American. I wish I could be of further help.

No, it's definitely an O and not a 2. Thanks for your response. I'll keep looking for perhaps a European maker. Is it possible for you to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong in loading photos too large? This happened the last time I sent a photo as well.
