Here is an example of a copper bowl made at the Jauchens Old Copper Shop in San Francisco.

The decoration is a bronze casting of a Eucalyptus leaf and seed pod.

The patina has been removed due to polishing.

I will post additional images of the work from the shop as I can.

The eucalyptus theme was shared by Hans Jauchens and Fred Brosi. Jauchens and Brosi were partners during 1915-1916. In 1917 Brosi formed his own shop Ye Olde Copper Shoppe and in the early 20s he was president of Old Mission Kopperkraft.

Literature printed at the time explained that the eucalyptus pods were cast from live specimens collected at the local park.

I have seen examples of the eucalyptus theme produced at each of the shops.
