This one has me stumped. I found this at Goodwill for $7 years ago, and it started my interest( well, obssession my wife would say) with vintage hammered copper. It has the original patina but no mark. It's 12" tall and has a really cool riveted top portion. It looks most like a Roycroft lamp base minus the stirrups and flared base, etc. I'll try to get some close-up's, but my camera is horrible. The hammering is really well done--as good as the Van Erp and Roycroft pieces I own. I've always wanted to find a vintage mica shade to go with it although I suspect it was meant to be a vase. It had been hastily turned into a lamp when I found it; a hole had been drilled in the bottom and lamp hardware from the 1920's added. I will keep this one forever; it's one of my favorite pieces.

Would love to see the close-up images. It is helpful to see the underside of the base and anyother details.

I can understand why you love it so much. It has great appeal.

Jesse,

Keen eye you have. It most certainly is the same style vase. Thanks for posting the auction listing. Rago auction house is attributing the maker of the vase as Wilcox. Not certain who they were.

WOW! I never thought I'd see another like it! I have no idea who Wilcox is, but I do love my vase! Very ironic...I was just looking through the auction listing recently( I have my Palmer lamp for sale in this one) and I didn't even notice that. Thanks!
