There are two candlesticks signed by Kark Kipp (the back to back "K" logo) on E-bay. They are the tradtional Roycroft design. The seller does not say if they have the Roycroft shop mark. They are not an exact match but the bidding is starting to get high.

This might be a good pair for a database.

Enjoy.

Bev.

Nice original patina, look a bit bent out of shape though

These are very desirable candlesticks designed by Kipp and made in his shop. They will sell high. These are sort of a variation of the princess candlesticks.

Bev,

Those are a rare design associated with Karl Kipp's Tookay Shop alone and NO Roycroft equivalent design. Also not pictured in either of the two known Kipp catalogs. If you look at the description again, the patina's have been redone and not original and not an exact matched pair. Nice set of sticks nevertheless by a Master craftsmen.

The Karl Kipp candlesticks are over $500 now. I wonder what the final price will be?

I will venture to guess over $1500 The owner of the Roycroft Copper website says 2K plus. (pun intended). They have sold for over 3K.

Well they didn't take off, finished at $505 with only a few bidders. New patina and slightly different sizes hurt the price I guess. The new patina looks maybe a little too new if you know what I mean; no character, no age.

Stonecat,

No, they didn't take off like you would expect for Kipp pieces, but if you look at some of Kipp's other sticks and items, his patina's were never as dark as those, shame, they are a nice form. Still a good buy for someone !!

Seems I was off mark on these. The patina does appear to be new. The difference in size does not bother me in the slightest.

I have recently acquired heavy gauge copper wire and will attempt some candlesticks of my own design this year. I have so much on my plate and so little time.
