I would love to see any photographs of both interior and exterior aspects of the Sears Avondale Home. Please contact me via the private message. If you live in an Avondale I will be happy to share photos of how your model looked at the Illinois State Fair. It was remodeled and redecorated several times.

The Avondale was a very popular house for Sears. In Wood River, IL there are two Avondales side by side, built by two brothers.
There's an Avondale in central Illinois that's currently in use as a funeral home. The Sears Hawthorne has the same footprint as the Avondale, but with a higher roofline which creates space for a second floor above. I'll hunt around and see if I can find a few photos of the Avondale. It's interesting - there'll all over the place in the Midwest, but I don't think I've seen ONE out here on the East Coast. Just found this photo. It's a postcard of a Sears Avondale - and interior shots, too.
