Although the company dates back to 1910 when the Ray H Bennett Lumber Company was incorporated, Bennett Homes was a pre-cut housing company that issued its first catalog in 1919, peaked in production in the late 1920's and closed in the mid 1960's. Their homes were built of qualitity materials and designs, most being bungalows and four-squares. The company records appear to have been destroyed some years ago but the company shipped thousands of homes throughout New England the eastern Midwestern region. I am currently working on a magazine article about Bennett Homes and would welcome any comments and information homeowners have about their Bennett Home.

Dale,
I can send you some digital pics of my house, which I think is a Foxcroft. There have been some alterations over the years, but the intergrity of the house remains pretty much the same. I have a lot of exterior and interior shots. If you want them, let me know where to send them! Thanks, Sandi

Attached are scans of a Sears Lynnhaven and a Bennett Foxcroft, both from 1930.
