Hey all, My wife and I are purchasing a GVT model 535 in upstate SC. We will be only the third owners. The house has been well maintained and we feel blessed to call it home. We have been long time Arts and Crafts followers and to find a catalogue home that is in the arts and crafts / prairie style is just like heaven :-)
I can't figure out how to post a picture... so if some one can help that would be great. Hope to hear from some other GVT owners and if the current owners have more original documentation we would be happy to share. Nick and Holly ![]() |

The #535 was among GVt's most popular models and this one is among the best examples I have seen! Undoubtedly it was shipped from the GVT plant in Willington, North Carolina (1920-1947). Original GVT paperwork is rare, espically since all the original drawings and documents were destroyed when the company closed in 1947.

The home has been well maintained and the previous owner was a family friend of the original owners and has eluded to original telegrams and possibly the family may have kept most if not all of the documentation. He is an older gentleman and we are trying to convince him that we see ourselves as custodians of this amazing house and as such can be trusted to preserve it and any documentation he may have. At a minimum I hope to secure copies of as much of it as I can. Thanks for the positive feedback your website and your kind words have been a great help, Nick and Holly
