We purchased this wonderful house several years ago and have been struggling to determine if it is a Sears house. Only three other families have lived here. One of the previous owners told us it was a Sears home. We've scoured Rosemary Thorton's books and still are unable to determine if it truly is a Sears home. Can anyone assist us?
thanks for any insight.. M ![]() |

Just for a start, you might take a look at our sister site, Antique Home and look at some of the house plans there. Many are kit houses, as well as ordinary plans. It's also possible that your home might have been adapted from something someone saw in a catalog or magazine.

Sorry, but that's not a Sears Home.
The Sears Somers is actually a much smaller home. Rose Thornton author, The Houses That Sears Built |
