This is my purchase. Being a carpenter by trade, I have always had a place in my heart for a bungalow style home. My wife and I have purchased this one about 2 years ago and are planing a complete renovation. Our historic department in town says this is a kit home but we cant find any proof of that. Can anyone help with our research?

I don't know what it is, but it isn't a Sears.
Nice looking house! Donna |

mikedabuilder,
You might spend some time at this site: Antique Home. We have many other kit home builders represented there including Aladdin, Sterling, Bennett, Lewis, Harris Bros, Fenner, Wardway, and Gordon VanTine. There were quite a few other companies that were in on the action with Sears back then. Lauren |

Thanks Donna and Lauren for the replies. yeah it is a nice looking structure. I can't wait to get that aluminum siding off to see whats under it.
I have done alot of research and spent loads of time on Antique Home but can't find anything with this floor plan. Lots of cape style homes but the tall roof with the walk up attic really throws me. Well I'll keep looking. Thanks for the help. |
