We just bought this house in ct... most of the houses in the neighborhood look like kit houses. i can identify many of them from the catalogs but not mine... it has had a lot of remodeling over the years (before we bought it, of course) so, i am sure it lost much of its original look (sadly) Confused

I forgot to add that the house was supposedly built in 1926... however, the inspector doubted that because of the stone and mortar basement... interestingly, the fireplace is right smack in the center of the house (first thing you see when you walk in the front door. i haven't seen any kit houses with that layout...

It's not a Sears House design that I recognize. In other words, if it is a Sears House, it's been customized to an extent that it doesn't match any of their 370 designs.
