I've attached a picture of our house. The inside layout is exactly like a Sears Starlight. The dimensions are the same. I have seen where someone said the Wards Tacoma was almost the same.

Can anyone tell me the differences? This house will be used as the town museum so I'd like to be as accurate as possible.

It was built in 1920. It has been inventoried by the state historical society and deemed eligible for the National Registrar of Historic Places because it is virtually unchanged from when built.

I just need to find more info on it. We have no markings in the attic or anywhere with numbers, etc.

Any advise, etc. welcome. Thanks, Linda

It is not a starlight. The starlight is a foursquare. I have no info on the Tacoma.

I went and did some research and what I find doesn't list the Starlight as a foursquare. I've attached the page describing it.

Our house is one story with four basic rooms. The floor plan is exactly like the plan on the left.

I'm still confused. Frown Thanks, LInda

You need to look at the roofline. If you look in "Houses By Mail" by Jandl and Stevenson, you will see the book is organized by roof line and the starlight is a one story four square. Your house has a front gabled roof.

OK- thanks! Got it now. So, I"m still trying to find what a Tacoma looks like-- OR what our house might have been. Thanks for the explanation.

No problem.

I couldn't find a Tacoma online but I haven't looked thoroughly yet. I'll keep trying.
