Hello -- I have a sense that the house I just bought (built in 1927) may be a kit home. All of the millwork has "Chicago & Riverdale Lumber Co." stamped on the back along with my city's name (Peekskill, NY) and a local contact person. I live about 1/2 mile away from the railroad station. I've attached a picture of the house as it currently looks. I've looked in many of the Sears and kit home books and can't find a match. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Michael

It's not one of Sears' 370 designs, I can tell you that much. As to what company it *might* be, well...that's a different story.

Dale knows a lot about the New York-based companies. He can answer this a lot more intelligently than I can.
