I'm writing a series on kit homes in my hometown for my newspaper. So far, I've 'found' three Sears kit homes (another possible), one GVT, and a Lustron home. I'm sure there are more.
I'm attaching a picture of the home in question. I also have a picture of the trim which I will post in another post. Thank you! |

Looks like it may be a Westfield.
Also sold by Montgomery Wards as the Buena Vista. Lauren |

Lauren is correct. Its a GVT Westfield
Introduced in 1916 as the #521, the model was renamned a few times in the twenty years it was offered. The original model house is located in Bettenforf Iowa just a few miles from the GVT plant in Davenport Iowa. This is the only brick #521 I have seen, but a brick exterior is not unusual for pre-cut kit homes. The #521/Westfield was amont GVT's most popular models. Check the website www.gordonvantine.com for info on the company. |

Thank you for the replies, I believe you are correct as the floor plans do match. I appreciate the help.
