I think I have a Hudson.

The floorplan is 90% the same except there is no pantry, the kitchen is even with the back of the house.

I understand builders often copied.

Is there a way to definitly know? Markings or something?

I tried to post a photo but it didnt work. you can check them out at myspace. my name is WASICU.

It certainly has some of the same layout features the Hudson has, but because it was Readi-Cut (a kit) it seems unlikely. The gabled roof is very different from Hudson's pyramidal, hipped style with dormer.

The Hudson is a Foursquare style. Yours seems to be more of the traditional farmhouse. Both are Colonial Revival styles.

For a few tips on assessing the kit home potential, read Sears Kit Homes by Rosemary Thornton. It's about Sears kits, but generally would apply to most kit makers.

I thought I'd put the image in so we could see them together.

Thats why i figured it was tweaked. The side of the house is exactly the same also, windows, door and basement windows. But I understand that is typical on old houses.

The house was supposedly built in 1928. The garage was added on in 1989 thus closing up the windows in the living room and dining room.

the property is long and wide, i would move the garage to the back and put the windows back in but there is no space along the left side to gt to the back.

If anyone is on myspace, there are more pics there. my handle is WASICU
