I own an Aladdin Wabash XVII built in Smithers B.C. in1921. It is pictured at http://clarke.cmich.edu/aladdin/catdir.htm on page 45 of the 1920 catalogue. If any of you know of a WABASH still standing anywhere plese let me know. You can also try http://clarke.cmich.edu/aladdin/1920aladdin45.htm for the exact page but it doesn't always come up. Thanks

I guess this amounts to a cheap "bump," I hit the quote button rather than the edit but since it is the first time I managed to post a photo on the internet I am not fooling with it.

I still get a chuckle from a fellow who came by one day and told me what a nice house I had and how much better it could look if I put up some vinyl siding.
The front porch has had quite a facelift, engineered beam, new sheathing and torch-down roofing. All floor joists are new. I thought I was smart using recycled face grain fir wainscotting on the floor, it just doesnt stand up. I have enough edge grain fir from another teardown but haven't gotten to it yet. The porch even used to have wooden eave troughing!

Yes, where is he? If anyone knows of another Wabash it would be him. I petition the King. Smile

I just e mailed them with a request to hook me up with the purchaser, I want that thing.

(EDIT):Just got a response from the seller and he is forwarding my request. It sold for $75 U.S. He also mentioned that he once sold one in its' original packaging for $250 Eek
(2nd EDIT):I got an e mail from the sellers, another one came up and sold almost immediately for $150, I wonder if it was an Aladdin owner who saw this post. Frown

Yesterday I was just taken on a tour of an Alladin Brunswick XVI (see" Aladdin owners please help" in Home Restoration), it's the only Aladdin house i've been in other than my own. I was so excited I started babbling, I think the fellow thought I was crazy. It really was a weird feeling seeing the same construction elements yet noting the differences. One day I hope to find another Wabash XVII and go for a visit.
