We purchased a 2 story bungalow in Alexandria, VA (Del Ray/Rosemont neighborhood). The floor plan is very similar to the Sears Vallonia (without much of the exterior architectural detail) and I believe it was built between 1920 and 1922. There is a house around the corner that looks exactly the same. Is it possible it was a kit home or is it just a local copycat architect/builder? I'm quite certain it's not Sears because I haven't noticed any labels on the lumber (I should know, I've done a ton of renovations).

There were other kit home companies such as Gordon Van Tine, Aladdin and Bennett to name a few. So it could well be a kit home from another company. Nice looking house by the way!
