Occasionally, I become a bit nostalgic when I think of the first home I owned in Hawthorne, CA, before I sold it in 1987. Unfortunately, at the time, I wasn't terribly curious about it's origins, and never did any digging, much less doing necessary repairs, but that's another story.
Anyway, I've been checking at all the sites, looking at plans, etc., and haven't really found anything - just close, but not quite. I wanted to make a miniature version. The house was built in 1914, and is pretty simple. At the base of the lapboard siding, it's slightly flared out. You can see the flare better in the side image, up near the front. The interior dining area had a built-in buffet, and the high wainscotting. There were originally two fireplaces, but the one in the kitchen was removed. Only a remnant remains in the attic. There were 2 bedrooms, both with walk-in closets with windows. Anyway, I could go on and on, about other details, but I'll just add (I hope it works) the only pictures I have at the moment showing the front and partial side. BirdsEye view at Zillow Any ideas if it is a kit, and if so, WHO it may be from? Thanks much ~ Terre [IMG:left] [/IMG][IMG:left] [/IMG] |

Sorry, but I don't recognize that as a kit home from Pacific Ready Cut Homes.
