We live in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Va. We think our home may be a Sears Walton. But, I can't find any markings. Also, the tax assessments list it as 1920. Does that make it too early to be a Walton?
Thanks |

It certainly looks to me like a Walton available 1921 to 1929 Sears Honor Bilt Home - The Walton. does the floor plan match up? Rose Thornton should visit the forum sometime soon and give an expert opinion.

The bay in the bedroom window on the left is the giveaway. Yup...I'd say its a Walton!
And a FINE looking Walton it is! I love the paint colors you chose. The porch on it is so welcoming - I think this is one of my favorite Sears houses! Donna |

Thanks. We just had it painted in the spring. We were really happy with the colors. They are Sherwin Williams. The body of the house is "Connected Gray" The foundation and porch is "Garden Gate". The trim is also Sherwin Williams but a Martha Stewart color, French Ivory.
Though they look gray, it is more of a green. |

It's ABSOLUTELY a Walton - Charming! We were fortunate to have purchased one in the last month and the only difference is that yours is reversed from ours! Ours has the master bedroom on the right, rather than the left. Our home does not have the optional built in bookcases between the living room and dining room. Yours looks to have been modernized in the porch area, i.e., front steps and bannisters. But beautiful nonetheless! Don't you just love it???

It surely does look like a spot-on match to the Walton, but have you found any documentation or part numbers? In a house of that vintage, the framing members should have marks, such as B-228 or D-315. Some millwork might have shipping labels.
