Here is lamp I found on E-bay. It is hand hammered copper with mica. The patina looks original and untouched. Does any one know who made it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&ss...0121748495&rd=1&rd=1

I bid $25 and it is now at $1200 with three days left to go.

Also, I have tried to post this with photos and they disappeared. If they do show up, I will delete the repeated material.

Bev.

"Grand Rapids School" - Stickley Brothers or Limbert (as subcontracted from others), but I put my money on Stickley Brothers because of the base being similar to the design of SBros candlesticks.

It's a killer lamp and I assume its going higher.

...follow up - there are similarities to Roycroft lamps but if not mistaken virtually all Roycroft are single sockets...

I came across this the other day while browsing e-bay and have been trying to remember where I had seen this base (or at least one very similar) in the past. I still can't remember, however, I think it was either a Craftsman or Treadway sale.

To me it has the look and feel of the lamps attributed to Benedict. The hammering is similar and the clips holding the mica panels in place appear to be exactly the same as a Benedict attributed lamp I own.

It will be interesting to see how high it goes and if the apparent cleaning to the shade has a big impact. I'm guessing it will sell for about $1,650.
