can anyone help me? this lamp shade was broken and there is no markings whatsoever for replacement. Any idea on where to try? This was purchased at Bloomingdales about 18 years ago. they have now closed their lighting dept.

I guess it depends on what you originally paid for the lamp and how much a custom replacement shade might cost. Its hard to tell if this is a valuable lamp, just from the picture. If it isn't then just buy a whole new lamp. If it is then a custom one, i.e. copper and mica, could be made. Before recommending someone, whats your budget?

Thanks for your answer...18 years ago this lamp was purchased for about $350. I am not sure about budget because I don't know what's involved and what is reasonable. Maybe around $150?

Unfortunately, I doubt you can get a custom made piece for $150. Assuming the diameter is a standard size, like 10"/12"/14", then just try searching online for a reproduction tiffany style, or whatever else might look good - ebay maybe, or conversely sell the base (garage sale, ebay) to offset the cost of a new lamp.
