Those are some very nice lamps and the clock one caught my eye, as well as the one you made with the mica shade. How in the world did you get the curve in the mica to balance the shade?

Most of the shades have been configured in symmetrical style but not curved.

Mica is easily shaped with a heat gun; however, doing a one-piece shade like the one pictured is pretty tricky. You have to have patience and something to use as a form. There are limitations; the material can only bend so much and then you start to get a lot of flaking and cracking. It's fun to push the material to its limits and see what happens. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any other one-piece shades out there. I guess most people do use mica in panels and haven't thought of experimenting.
