Hello, this is my first post and I am glad to have found this community. I am building a house in NH, starting in September, and have been trying to include as many A & C details as I can afford to do. I have been scouring the salvage yards and antique shops and found the following stained glass window.

It looks like a classic A & C motif to my untrained eye, and the colors are brilliant. Is there any way to trace makers of stained glass by their designs?
Thanks. I look forward to learning alot here.

Tracing stained glass makers for windows like this I think would be a real challenge. You would need countless references of original catalogs and even then there were probably lots of copy cat makers. I would guess this window is English because of the familiar tudor rose design. Here's a link for a place near me that imports one or two container loads of windows from England every year - click through their pictures and you see several windows with the rose - no need to scrounge around, this place is the motherload Smile.

...and you could try 'Image Resizer' to make pictures smaller before uploading and linking - very handy thing from Microsoft..scroll down the link a bit..
