Just a couple of questions because I have no clue yet how this awesome forum works..

When you're brand new here, is there a section on here somewhere where you introduce yourself, or do you just jump in anywhere? (I told you this was a dumb question, but I seriously wasn't sure.. )

Also, what do the little locks mean? Are those threads that have been on the board for a certain amount of time?

There is no intro forum, so just jump in anywhere.
If you find a topic that is locked, it is closed for being older than a year or so, or because it attracted a bunch of spammers.

So choose the forum you need for your first question (or answer!)and go for it.

The only issue most people have is posting images. There is only one image allowed per post on this Forum software. So you have to post successive answers to your own post to put up multiple images. If you have your images stored somewhere like flickr, feel free to post links to them there.
