We are in the process of restoring our dining room, and have no clue as to what we should use on the windows. We have a set of french doors that lead to our front porch, a pair of hinged windows and a set of double hung 9 over 1 in the front. We will be stipping all the wood and the floors are heart pine, we will most likely be painting the room a nice deep A&C inspired color with a nice border...all undecied yet. We just have no leads on window treatments...If anyone can help it's the folks here at the A&C society! Thanks a million.

We have simple hem stitched Ecru linen curtains mounted on period brass rods. This is a true A&C period window treatment.
This is the window treatment we have throughout most of our craftsman home. My wife made them herself as she enjoys needle work.
Hem stitching is labor intensive but you can purchase them completed. A few sources for material or finished curtains and hardware are: Dianne Ayres A&C period textiles http://www.textilestudio.com/
or
Ann Wallace textiles http://www.annwallace.com
Good luck.

I've got a 1917 bungalow and the original window treatment were roller shades - many windows still had the old roller shade hardware. I ordered ecru shades from handiwerks.com (no affiliation, they did a nice job). Here is how it looks to give you an idea. I may add curtains as well some day to gift it a softer look - but I'm still in the process of fixing these rooms.

We have the same material shades in our kitchen and breakfast nook as well as the rear service porch. They are nice and period appropriate. They also work well under the semi-sheer Ecru linen curtains for added privacy.

I have Roman shades in linen. I have dreams of stenciling them someday.
