Even though it may be a ways down the road before we can build them, I would like to find a source for plans of Arts & Crafts built-ins.
The bedrooms in our new house contain closets under the eaves, and they are just screaming to have built-ins! This would do a number of things for us. First, it would make the space so much more user-friendly. Second, it would add to the style and beauty of the house. Third, I believe it would add to the overall value as well (thoiugh we have no plans of selling!). If anyone knows of a good resource for plans (a bonus if they include line drawings and materials list), please share them! It will give me time to plan and decide the type of wood and hardware we'd like. Cheers! |

Our sister site, Antique Home, has a directory of millwork by Bilt-Well (c. 1924) that might also give you some ideas. Not all of it is bungalow style, but some of it is applicable and might prime your creative juices.
