A friend of mine recently dug up some old X-Rays and CT Scans of her head from when she was in a bike accident. The skull x-rays are quite large and the CT scans (of her heads cross-sections) are small squares. In a sequence. She was wondering if anyone had decorating ideas that make use of these types of images. It would somehow require back-lighting. She is interested in something tasteful for her apartment living-room and/or bedroom.

I think you're in the wrong forum with that question..as posted at the top of the board this forum is about:

"Hello members and guests! The forum was created to provide a place to discuss and read about the Arts & Crafts Movement. A period ranging from the late quarter of the 19th Century to the First Quarter of the 20th. The crafts men and women of this period influenced a great many of the craftsmen of today through their designs and through the institutions that were formed during that period for the teaching of Handcrafts and Art."

Stonecat,

I think you are right and the person has posted in the wrong forum.

The use of transparencies (not Xrays) was actually part of the window treatment used at the Riordan House in Flagstaff, Arizona. They had large panes of glass treated so they could be exposed to photographic images of Arizona and then used as panes in a window.

The images had deteriorated over the years and were recently restored to their original glory.

An interesting decorating idea.
