Would a Cape Buffalo taxidermy mount over my fireplace be appropiate for the Arts and Crafts style? Would any taxidermy mount be considered not appropiate for a Arts and Crafts Home?

Interesting - I don't think it is out of the question. Certainly, many of the turn of the century lodges and camps would have had mounts over fireplaces in various rooms or buildings, and would have been oufitted with Mission or rustic furniture. I suppose, as a result, if you decorated the rest of the room with a bit of a lodge/camp/outdoors theme to tie it all together it would probably work. Personally, I've seen various lodges and museums in the Rocky Mountains that are terrific A&C period set-ups that have mounts all over. There were of course all the lodges in the northeast, as well, that fit the bill as Adirondack style.
