Wow, that is a tough question. I can't think of any sources off hand. I am guessing you have reviewed the wide variety of bungalow style homes books?? If not, check out your public library and your local big bookstore...
a dealer here in louisville has a very nice period linoleum area floor covering with childrens stories on it. i have never unrolled to see exactly what it is.
The best children's rooms for me, personally, are those that have a pastel theme and with walls that allow your kids to doodle (and erase, of course) as they grow up. Those are just cute! My nephew's room is so adorable (wish I took a picture!) but because my cousin worked the room in a way where it's always a work in progress (stickers instead of paint), my nephew gets to contribute ideas for his room. A dream, if you ask me!
In our previous house there was half of a children's linoleum "rug" in the attic. After our first daughter was born I cut it down, and glued it to a masonite board. Here is a picture of it mounted on her wall.
Take a look at my daughters' bedroom in the Finish Pictures of my Photo Gallery at {sorry no self promotion links} I tried to stay true to the Craftsman feel with the exposed beams, mahogany and ebony picture rails, etc.
There was some information in the humungous new stickley book, and some interesting images. We kept things very natural, linens, pinecone stencils, old pages from nursery books. Lots of twin beds out there beautiful antiques available, not too cher. There's some wall papers with voyesey (sp) from an artisan who specializes, but we thought it was tooo...aggressive. Natural images, calming space, earthy colors.
