You seem to be the man in the know around here. Along with my fireplace and hearth rebuild I also want to put a built in a long bookcase built in next to it. Now I have enough carpentry knowledge to be dangerous so I'm wondering if you can recommend a good book like "A and C built-in's for dummies". lol Thanks!

robert lang has a book called Arts and Crafts built-in and cabinetry, i think.

he is senior editor of popular woodworking and has written several books on A&C furnishings and interiors. they are mostly measured shop drawings of actual pieces, so they are extremely acurate and helpful. highly recommended.
