My family is planning a trip to the Ohio River area (Pittsburgh PA, Marietta OH, Covington KY, Cincinnati OH) in September. We are interested in visiting any tile & pottery makers in the area....
in the Arts & Crafts tradition, of course..... with the idea of purchasing tiles for our use, and carrying tiles in our art gallery in the future. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! |

I don't live in the States, but do make luster tiles in the Arts and Crafts spirit. You can see some if you go to http://www.jcjpottery.co.uk. Or, I can email you some photos. My email is jo@jcjpottery.co.uk

rookwood pottery was in cincinnati but closed long ago. i believe the is a resturant in the old building called the Rookery. you could at least have a nice meal in the building and possibly absorb some of the aura.
i you had a chance to go farther east in PA to doylestown you could visit the moravian tile works and mercers castle. |
