More photos from our visit to Syracuse last week. The Everson museum contains one of the largest collections of American art pottery. Here are just a few photos. I highly recommend it if you happen to be in Syracuse. Some photos of the rather small furniture collection will soon be in the furniture section of the forum.

Those are great pieces. The Fulper lamp is spectacular. Wish I could visit the Museum. Fred Fred (Moderator) http://fredz49.blogspot.com/ |

I'm looking at these great pictures and am thinking since this is a museum...there's no way that large green vase (on the right, 2nd shelf, top picture) could be a piece of Ephraim Faience Pottery, it's Grueby, right?

The piece on the second shelf, right hand side is a Grueby Kendrick. In my opinion, one of the best forms made by Grueby.

It is indeed one of Grueby's finest forms. And others must agree since a similar vase is on the cover of Montgomery's book.
