I've had this wonderful lidded piece for awhile and would love to know the region and era of the piece. To me it looks like 1900's AC probably German?? I had it appraised and the appraiser said it was American mid certury modern, studio.....Can anyone help? It has serveral marks on the bottom..V V, 1865, 5, and what looks like a 1 and something else that looks like 2 letters combined. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....I love this forum!
