Hello Wylieboy,
Welcome to the Arts and crafts Society and we hope you continue coming back as this is truly a great place to find out about A&C works. However if you were to turn the bowl over to see if there is a mark on the bottom it may help in identifying it. It is sad that there is a chip on the rim otherwise it might be worth a lot more if it had no defects. Its is an interesting bowl though. Respectfully, Ralph Jones http://hometown.aol.com/ralj7/index.htm |

Ralph,
Thanks for responding. Ther is no mark on the bottom. That's why I'm stumped. At any rate, is there a name or description for that kind of turquoise glaze? Bob |

Hello Bob,
Not being an authority in this section of the periods I would say it could have been made in the area of New Mexico from around the post war day of the second world war but again I am not sure. However it does look familiar. Respectfully, Ralph http://hometown.aol.com/ralj7/index.htm |
