Hello!

I have recently moved into an old school house (1867), which still has the original black boards, tin walls, and even the tin ceiling Smile

However, the last owners painted over the black boards with paint (not sure what kind, possibly spray paint). I would like to remove the paint, but don't want to damage the black board. Does anyone have some advice?

Thanks in advance,

phreaq

Thanks for the reply Wabash!

I went to the local Home Depot, and was amazed at how little paint remover products they have (or don't have I guess).

Anyhow, I bought a small container of "goof off", and gave it a try. It removed the paint beautifully, but revealed another coat of thick paint that wasn't affected Frown

Seems I might just paint the black boards with black board paint, as it's about 25' long in total.
