I am looking for someone who owns an Aladdin home built around 1921 with a No.2 Size colonade the same as that shown at the bottom of the page. If you would be so kind I would like close up pics and enough measurements to duplicate the ones that were once in my house.
Thanks
Wabash

There is a house here that I always suspected was an Aladdin Brunswick XVI http://clarke.cmich.edu/aladdin/1920/aladdin42.htm so the other day I copied the pic and knocked on the door just to confirm the floorplan. The owner had suspicions it was a kit home and was thrilled to have a copy of the plan. He was happy to give me a tour and what do I find but the colonnade that I was looking for so its just a matter of a few photos and some measurements. Now that I've actually seen them It's apparent why they were removed, the way traffic flows they will be in the way. Not sure what I will do , at least I will have a photo of the real thing.
So as it stands there are 3 Aladdins and 1 Eatons here in a town of about 5500, not bad and I hope to find more but the going will be tougher from here on.

Thats funny, my cousin drove out from Alberta one summer and said he almost turned around half way here. Lots of wilderness but we aren't deprived . I was going to explain why I like it here but I don't know, I don't question it, I just like it and will live here when I retire.
This website will give you an idea of what Smithers is like. http://www.tourismsmithers.com/
