Hi all. I have my doors off while I'm painting, hinges and lock plates are painted. I'm going to strip them, I'm not sure what kind of metaql they are....I think the plates might be brass. Any suggestions on what to do after the paint is removed to keep them within the period style?
Thanks.
Joe

After you get all of the paint off, and you are down to the natural metal.. First you need to decide what kind of metal they are.. Brass plated etc.. a finish option is just a light coat of spray poly.. but like I said, you really need to make that call after you have decided what kind of metal they are. I am sure they are a steel body, but they may be plated with brass, copper etc...
