I am working with a builder in Orange County, Ca who has built a Craftsman style home. The house is very beautiful, and I am trying to help him share this house with people who can appreciate this architecture.

However, I don't know if the participants in this Society appreciate 'new, old homes' or if the main objectives of this Society are to share old bungalows, cottages or other older constructed homes only.

Can someone please let me know how the Society members feel about looking at new homes in the Arts and Crafts style?

I look forward to hearing your answers.

BTW - here is a website that showcases this house - [no link dropping, please] in case anyone is interested is taking a look....

Thanks

Dave --

I've saved your link. We have a policy of no link dropping on the forum and ask people who want to increase traffic, market, or advertise to use our Marketplace which is designed for that purpose.

The house your friend has built is new and A&C in style. With four bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and 8,300 sq.ft. it's not exactly a kit house. It has Siberian white oak and exotic granite, a 2000 bottle wine cellar, and a home theater.

Like you, I look forward to seeing what forum members have to say about new homes in the A&C style.

CoolI have no problem with this. It's good thatpeople want to preserve the old designs and
find something appealing and homelike about them.
Better than the crackerboxes you see nowadays that all look alike.

Good Afternoon Friends,
After many a year in building and remodeling but, now building and repairing furniture with some A&C pieces along with everything else I am sure you will enjoy the remodeling of a 1960' family room into an Arts and Crafts room.
The pictures can be found on the Home Restoration Forum.

A person with a good imagination and a person as my self or anyone with the skill to draw up some plans for such a project. I mostly make suggestions and sketches at no charge for doing so.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones
