At 3654 Belleview Avenue in Kansas City MO, there is a house that closely resembles the Henry W. Schultz house [George Maher, architect : 1909] at 19 Warwick Road in Winnetka, Illinois. I have been unable to find any information on this house or in re George Maher houses in KC other than the S.H. Velie house, which Belleview Avenue definitely is not.

Any information in re the Belleview Avenue KC MO house would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Brian,
Here are instructions that I have used many times to acquire information of certain homes and areas around the county of Madison and in and around the city of London, Ohio my home town.
Go to the Auditors Office and ask them what plat book and page the information is on pertaining to the house you refer to.
Then you will go to the Recorders Office and they will help you find the correct book and pages that will tell all about that house from the day it was built, by what contractor, the owner of the land, the house and all owners from the date of record of said property.

Then you can go to the Maps and Surveys Office and they will printout a map as well as an overview of the property showing all of the buildings erected on said property.

Since I am a draftsman and design houses and room additions, these are things I must know in order to first draw a site plan which is a pictorial drawing of the land and structures and this site plan tells not only the story of what but by whom the new portions were added to the original site plan.

Not only will it be interesting but you can make it fun learning the history of said house.
