Appears to be the same chair that sold last week at Forsythe's (lot 22 for $650), attributed to none other than Charles Stickley.

I don't remember the condition, but it is a pretty neat form similar to several L&JG tall back rockers.

I like the trough bookcase in the photo background (the one in front of JC's store window. Is it marked/labeled per chance?

Don, do you own these pieces or are you thinking of buying them?

I was going to say L&JG based on first impression, but maybe Charles..oh I'm so confused now Confused

follow up - pretty close to a J.M Young #384 rocker, except this one has a fully upholstered back

yes, that is the chair from forsythe auction.

just wondering if anyone had a better guess than the charles attribution.

i dont know if the bookcase has a label. i will check next time i am there. its not actually a trough. it has a slanted shelf that is hinged and can be lifted to make a flat shelf. it has keyed tenons on the sides.

no, not buying, just admiring and furthering my education.

Quaint Art dadoed seat slats into the side stretcher as on this chair.

..might have to stick with L&JG based on the following, left - from the 1906-09 retail plates in "Early L&JG..." book, and right from the ca1910-15 catalog reprint

Looks like stonecat is right to me. I can't see any inconsistencies and the single pin on the top horizontal slat on the back might be telltale...
