Here is an interesting piece made by a company I have not heard of:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Arts-Crafts-Oak-Mission-Stand-Stick...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Does anyone (most likely stonecat!) have more information on this company?
Looks like a really nice piece with good qualities including pegged joints.

I've never heard of RitterCraft. The design is great and it has wonderful proportions.

Steve, Perhaps we could modify the Topic Title to incorporate the name RitterCraft.

Ahhh, another mystery... Cool (oh and I editted the title per Fred's suggestion, so now it should at some point get picked up and linked by a Google crawler)

I got nada on this one EXCEPT...try a Google search (images) for Rittercraft and you get one hit, but try Rittencraft (n instead of r) and you get a bunch. The tag in the eBay thing sure looks like an 'r'. I have had Rittencraft in my data base for a long time based on finding it when surfing through shop sites (in this case Berman Gallery where most of the Google hits are). So this one remains a mystery, because either way, there seems to be nothing on the web in terms of company name history/information - just a few pics that presumably have been labelled based on someone quickly reading the tag.

I think an email to Berman Gallery is in order to see if they can confirm the name on their pieces.

Maybe no relationship but the other recent thread about Ritter Bros. makes me wonder, did they call any of their stuff Rittercraft at some point???

Rittencraft comes up at the Berman Gallery web site and on a list of Arts & Crafts furniture makers I came across. Someone here may be making up these lists of more obscure manufacturers. I did not find Ritter on any of them and really apprciate stonecat's sleuthing and will post a photo of the label.
It will take a while because I am pre-digital in terms of photograph -- tho i may be able to get an ichat pic of it.

I looked at your pics again it surely says
Rittercraft. The Berman Gallery site did not show any labels. I would guess the label is more accurate than anything -- as long as it is intact. I found nothing after searching with web for Ritter Bros. or Rittencraft.
So -- time to try Rittercraft. Don't we have other things to do?

To clarify I comment where I said Google did not yield on Rittencraft. I meant to say
I didn't find anything about the company Rittencraft. There are many pieces of furniture attributed to Rittencraft, but none of them showed a label or refered to the maker/manufacturer. These are at the Berman Gallery and few other places. Enough on this!

I emailed Berman last night, to see if they could check their pieces and I included a link to the forum, but no response yet.
